In order to help re establish trust between the electorate and M.P's, the government should pass legislation which requires all general election candidates to undergo an independently verifiable polygraph test which focuses on an individual's commitment to the manifesto which underpins their campaign. Results of tests should be made available to each candidates constituents before very ballot to enable them to vote for a trustworthy representative
