Widening the A14 to 6 lanes is costly, covers more of this tiny island with tarmac, is bad for the environment, and unnecessary. Doubling the present single track railway between Felixstowe and Ipswich would get the container traffic off the road. The government shouldn't kowtow to the road freight lobby.
