Closed Fund aspiring commercial pilots training

The costs of pilot training are huge, and can be up to around £130,000. There are no current programmes in the UK that can assist aspiring pilots with the necessary funding for their training. However, those going to university can get assistance, but aspiring pilots can't at the moment.

BALPA, who represent over 85% of UK pilots, are now forecasting a shortage of pilots in the near future, and the costs of pilot training are one of the main factors putting people off; as they quite simply can't afford it.
