Petition Build truly affordable housing and establish a long term saving initiative

The idea is to build cost effective studio flats aimed at 16-25yo and rent them out for £400pm. £100pm of that will be put into a holding account to go towards a mortgage at 25yo. Government profits from low risk interest and rent side is used to construct more housing, making this self-sustainable.

With rent averaging £700 pm shortage of truly affordable housing impacts peoples mental health, social mobility, crime , wages and health options. Young people from poor area see 2/3 of their wages go towards rent meaning they cannot invest in themselves .

I call this idea National Accommodation Initiative
