Petition Set maximum waiting time of one hour for transport home from NHS A&E.

At 1.30pm on Monday 11th February 2019 my wife suffered a choking incident at home which required emergency treatment at our local A&E. Discharged at 5pm and didn't get home until after midnight. A&E staff stated it was common for patients to wait more than three hours for transport home.

My wife was receiving palliative care for incurable cancer and needed her medication. The wait resulted in already overstretched A&E staff having to find the correct medication for her.
