Rejected petition Hold by-elections in the seven constituencies where Labour MPs resigned

As of 18/2/19, seven Labour MPs have resigned the whip in order to form a new party. They have ruled out holding by-elections, however their mandate was granted by their constituents as members of the Labour Party, so they should now seek a renewed mandate should they wish to continue as MPs.

As per BBC News, the MPs and constituencies in question are:
Chuka Umunna, Luciana Berger, Chris Leslie, Angela Smith, Mike Gapes, Gavin Shuker and Ann Coffey.
Constituencies: Liverpool Wavertree, Stockport, Ilford South, Nottingham East, Penistone and Stocksbridge, Luton South, and Streatham.
