On the 18.02.2019 seven MPs left their party, but did not resign their seat and put themselves forward for a by-election.

Thereby depriving the electorate a voice in deciding whether they still wanted those MPs to represent them in Parliament. It should be law that if an MP leaves their party they should automatically stand in a by-election
