Rejected petition Please enable the safe return of Shamima Begum to the UK

We are aware of the choice Shamima made as a 15 year old, but in a spirit of compassion urge you not to remove her citizenship and make all reasonable efforts possible to secure her safe return to the UK.

We acknowledge and deplore the crimes of ISIS and hugely regret the choice Shamima made as a 15 year old, but we believe she deserves mercy and compassion and believe she should safely face the consequences of her actions back in the UK.
We therefore urge you not to remove her citizenship and would ask Her Majesty’s government to make all reasonable efforts possible to secure her safe return.
As well as potentially saving two young lives, such an action makes us who we are as a nation.
