If everybody paid a flat rate of income tax at 40%, and minimum wage was increased to £8p/h, the UK could potentially become the richest nation in the World in terms of disposable income per person within a decade. Our education, health and transport systems would be state of the art, and poverty would decrease darmatically.

This petition is for the government to raise the above proposal in parliament with the hope that the treasury and associated departments will see the benefits of the system.
