Petition Standing Tickets for public trains.
More details
On public trains at peak times most people are not given the choice as to whether they get to sit or not.
This may deter people from travelling on this form of public transport as people do not like to pay for discomfort.
For people who travel on trains often it is usual to see a carrage cramped and short of space and is uncomfortable for everyone involved, there may also be an increase in tension as the standing, uncomfortable passangers had to pay the same ammount as a seated passanger if they were to travel to the same destination.
I propose for 'standing tickets' to be introduced at a fraction of the price, this would therefore free up more steats on trains for those who are willing to pay for them.
Some people may also be more willing to travel on trains if they have the choice to travel slightly cheaper.
