Closed PAY SGO CARERS A LIVING WAGE

SGO carers receive an allowance which is broken down on how it should be spent on the children. This shows the carers receives no extra money for raising other children despite giving up/ cutting down hours of work making it almost unliveable.

Foster carers who have the same role of a SGO carer receive a paid wage and a foster carer allowance for fostering a child. Yet an SGO carer receives nothing, cuts working hours and drops other commitments to keep a child/children out of the care system which also saves the government thousands of pounds a year.
