In Tesco's Four Dohnuts in a Plastic trey are £1, yet to put them into a paperbag from the bakery is 60p each = Over double the price.
In Morrisons single pears to put in a paper bag are 50p each but a plastic bag of 2kg is £1.50.
More details
Aldi prices are similar for individual friut and veg to put in re-usable or paper bags.
For people on low incomes there is no choice it's simply unaffordable.
There is no need for Supermarkets to push for this type of waste creation.
Stopping it and making the supermarkets more responcilbe at the start of the consumer chain will reduce the strain on local councils to promote recycling
Ultimatly reducing landfil.
