Taxpayer subsidies to the trade unions amount to £113 million per year. As part of the Coalition's deficit reduction programme, the Government should withdraw all taxpayer funded support, subsidies and grants to the Trade Unions and should stop local authorities and Government agencies from subsidising their activities.
