Petition Make it law that all licensed taxis and mini-cabs have cameras/audio

Part of improving safety would be to ensure every taxi and mini-cab company has cameras placed in their cabs so people who commit crimes - whether it be the driver or passenger - are caught, and to deter them from doing something unlawful in the first place.

If we make it mandatory that all licensed taxis and mini-cabs have cameras and audio recording, the issue of 'who's telling the truth' will be eradicated, and criminals can't carry on giving people lifts. Likewise, passengers will be more respectful to drivers.
