Housing associations in the UK are seriously mis-managing the allocation and upkeep of social housing properties which were previously owned by local authorities, i.e. local councils. In my experience they are disorganised, they waste a lot of money and their general attitude towards their tenants is that they are all the same, with very little or no consideration for the elderly, disabled, physically ill, mentally ill and anyone else who could be considered "vulnerable".
