Rejected petition Keep Article 13 and Article 11 out of the UK.

The EU has passed legislation that effectively seeks to censor and criminalize the aspirations of small artists inside the EU. Article 13 and Article 11 pose grave threats to the integrity of the internet. We ask that parliament does not adopt these, or any other law that violates internet freedom.

More details

Article 13 and 11 were proposed under the guise of 'Copyright Protection'. This legislation makes entire internet platforms liable for the uploads of individual users. There are serious consequences to this notion, as many online platforms simply cannot afford to police its individual users. Youtube has warned that its services may be removed from the EU for this very reason.
Whether one is for Brexit or against it, this is not a partisan issue.
