ADP is being increased by 8% making it 30% higher than anywhere else in the world.
The tax is making air travel to and from the UK prohibitively expensive and this is adversely effecting airlines and aviation jobs, tourism, business growth in the UK and holidaymakers.
The tax will negatively affect the UK long term since it will deter businesses from the UK and reduce foreign investment.
The government should work on alternative programs ie ETS to address the environmental impact of aviation and ADP should be reduced to levels equivalent with the rest of the world.
