Rejected petition Hold a second referendum on EU membership FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT VOTE!
Over 27% of registered voters did not take part in the first EU referendum. Big part of this population simply did not think it will make any difference and today we see how wrong they were.
More details
It would be undemocratic to call the second referendum for everyone...
However everyone should have a chance to give one vote and there are many who missed their chance here.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We can't accept your petition because it's not clear what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take. It's not possible to call a referendum solely for people who didn't vote in another referendum and it's not clear you would like such a referendum to achieve.
You could start or sign petitions calling for specific groups to be able to vote in a future referendum on EU membership if that is something you would like to see happen. For example, this one covers 15 to 17 year olds:
