Rejected petition Stop the north of Tyne mayor being appointed,

We already have a mayor of north Tyneside and numerous councillors, why do we need more. until the public know the details of his / her responsibilities, salary and what powers will be devolved from Westminster

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because most of the information you reference is already publicly available:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/754719/North_of_Tyne_Deal.pdf

The North of Tyne combined authority has agreed to pay the mayor a salary of £65,000 a year

We are therefore unsure what further action you would like taken. You could start a new petition to abolish the post of North of Tyne Mayor if that is something you would like to see happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
