Rejected petition Join The Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) after leaving the European Union.
The Arab League is rich in resources, with enormous oil and natural gas reserves. The region's instability has not affected its tourism industry, which is considered the fastest growing sector in the region, with Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan leading the way.
More details
Economic achievements among member states have been low in the League's history. Other smaller Arab organizations, such as the GCC, have achieved more than the League has. However, lately there has emerged several major economic projects that slated to be completed soon that appear promising.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can't accept your petition because it would be a decision for CAEU as to whether to invite the UK to join.
You could start a new petition calling on the UK Government or Parliament to negotiate a free-trade agreement with CAEU if that is something you would like to see happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
