In these days of globalization, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the consumer to make an educated choice about their purchases, particularly in the area of food production. Whilst food is labelled to identify fat and salt etc. the country of origin; thus making consumer choice difficult.

For example, foods found in a local supermarket are labelled, " Packed in the UK for XXXX". This informs no-one of the origin of the actual produce, just where it was packaged.

In these days of consumer choice and information, the simple labeling of 'Country of Origin' provides consumer choice and confidence.
