Rejected petition Re-think Minimum Wage- age shouldn’t decide who should get more or less
Minimum wage should be a set pay for all. For instance, age doesn’t depict your situation, you could live at home and receive help over the age of 25 and move out and receive no help younger than 25. There should be a set wage for everyone as situations may differ.
More details
Like a maintenance loan, the government decide how much a person should get according to how much they need it. Whereas a minimum wage does not. Age shouldn’t be the deciding factor on help as every situation is different.
