Rejected petition Introduce a cap on car insurance of £900 for all drivers (inc. young drivers)

In order to stop car insurance companies from taking advantage of younger drivers, I am proposing a cap of £900 per year. This is ultimately stop car insurance companies from charging extortionate amounts for their car insurance and make it affordable for all.

Some car insurance companies are charging over £1400 per year for drivers who have just started to drive after passing their practical examinations, this is clearly ridiculous for younger people who are not earning enough money to afford this.
