Rejected petition Allow all students to wear trousers and school shorts as part of school uniform.
Trousers for many girls are more practical and comfortable enforcing the wearing of skirts plays into a misogynistic sterotype of feminity that is not longer useful and potentially harmful.
More details
Both boys & girls should be allowed to wear shorts in summer to get enough Vitamin D which comes from sunlight between April and September between the hours 11am - 3pm when children are at school.
