Rejected petition Halt all HS2 'Enabling Works' between London and Birmingham.

This petition calls for our Government to halt all HS2 enabling works - protecting England's countryside - until HS2 Ltd have proved a viable business case and that the project can be delivered at an affordable cost as part of their application for 'Notice to Proceed' from DfT.

HS2 Ltd has not yet shown the Government the cost of building the line. If it isn't affordable, it may not go ahead. We need to save our countryside from pointless destruction.
