Many other areas of our services and products are governed by legislation not to misrepresent about how they work or the purpose of them. I want the same for residents when voting. This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

You could start a new petition calling for candidates to have to declare if they are members of a political party and have that information on the ballot paper if that is something you would like to see happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
