While professional football is attracting more money than ever, we are seeing a dramatic downturn in grassroots football and poor organisation of, and support for, youth football. The government should review how more money and better organisation can be brought to grassroots and youth football.

Men's football leagues and clubs are closing at an alarming rate. Women's football is not growing as fast as it could be, because not enough clubs are offering opportunity to play.
