If you are entitled to receive housing benefit it would be nice if it was actually paid it to the landlord or lettings agency.

Why are tenants allowed to obtain funds from the government to pay for their rent and spend them on luxury products.

How many social tenants do you know who have:

Huge Flatscreen TV’s
X Boxs
PS3s
Nike Trainer’s
New cars
Iphone 4’s
Blackberry’s
New sofa’s

I still agree with paying the tenant for their rent direct, but please please please make it an illegal activity for them to spend this money on anything but there rent.

They get away with £100's per month then simply move on when the landlord evicts !!!

Surely this is fraud !!!

Sign this petition today and hopefully once this is implemented the private sector landlords will accept more social tenants reducing housing waiting lists.
