Rejected petition Bring back designated community beat policing officers

Officers that join each individual force to be based in the community and don't get moved to specialisms . Remain in the community for whole service and receive 10% more salary for doing this , they also get usual increments for usual lengths of service .

More details

They are part of a unit that is based in the community for whole duration of service , not PCSOs but fully trained police officers that serve their individual communities are foot based and are there to build a trust within communities and if they are needed to arrest anyone the arrest is handed to an arrest team and they simply supply a statement and are back within the community collating evidence, encouraging trust within community and taking part if community events with the community.
