Petition Protect British minors abroad.

The UK Government should give diplomatic protection to British minors in countries with poor or untrustworthy justice systems to ensure their rights in child custody cases.

More details

The UK government must list countries where the judiciary is clearly dysfunctional according to the number of cases pending, the average period taken to deliberate those cases (justice delayed is justice denied), and the relative number of courts per population mass. Where countries are found to be wanting, the FCO should give automatic ‘diplomatic protection’ to British citizens and request extradition in cases involving British minors.
