Rejected petition Change working practices in the UK for a 4 day working week and a 3 day weekend

A lot of people are working 5 if not more days a week. We look forward to long weekends as if they are a treat. Why cannot we split the week up in a more even way and have 4 working days and enjoy a three day weekend. This will allow longer time for people to relax and de-stress from work.

We understand that you would like the standard working week to be four days but we aren't sure what action you want the UK Government or Parliament to take to make it happen.

You could start a new petition asking for a new legal maximum for the number of hours worked in a week if that is something you would like to see happen.
