Rejected petition Make Equal Parenting Law after the breakdown of the relationship

Stop denying parents their rights to see their children; as well as the extended family. Both parents on birth certificate. Both must have a say on the welfare and up bringing of their children. Both parents and families must be treated equally. Where needed access must be supervised at all times.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition calling for an automatic presumption of 50/50 shared custody of children, if that's what you'd like to happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
