Rejected petition Make it a legal requirement for food products to display their climate footprint

Some food companies have already begun displaying information on how much carbon dioxide their product creates, covering the journey from field to store. If this was a legal requirement for all companies then consumers could more easily make environmentally conscious decisions when purchasing food.
