Petition Disability Information Packs for DPUs

Councils & Social Landlords should provide information packs for tenants moving into properties adapted for the disabled.

These packs should include but not be limited to: OT referral forms, contacts for getting disabled bays created, having roads gritted for accessibilty and a mandatory assessment form to see if the property is fit for purpose once you have moved in and had time to experience any difficulties that may not have been considered when accepting the property.

It would also be prudent to provide 'useful contacts' information so that parents/carers can find equipment/furniture/services as locally as possible.

This petition is based on problems I have with my local Council that I don't want others to face.
