We call upon the government to provide an immediate and sustained package of financial support, tax breaks and levies on foreign imports.

Around 5,000 jobs are at risk at British Steel, a further 20,000 are at risk through the loss of business to British Steel’s suppliers.

Whole communities will be decimated by the collapse of British Steel. A financial stimulus is needed now.
