Petition Require councils to build more adapted family homes

Thousands of people with disabilities and also families have been on waiting lists for adapted properties for months even years. This is because there are hardly any adapted or adaptable properties for families.

We need legally enforceable targets for councils to build a percentage of adapted properties for the future when building new estates for rented housing. Specifically 2-4 bedrooms properties able to house families. A high percentage of current adapted or adaptable properties are for the elderly and are 1-2 bedrooms which cannot house a family comfortably.
