Petition Student loans to pay for either - education, or apprenticeship, or to start a business

Currently, you can apply to study in a university, which can be paid using a low cost loan from the government. What if you could use this loan to go to university, or pay for an apprenticeship, or to start a business?

If you choose to go to university you can the loan to do that, as we do currently.

If you want to get some hands on work skills you can use to loan to pay a company to get an apprenticeship. This way companies are encouraged to have apprentices and the apprentices get a better chance of getting the skills they require.

And if you are entrepreneurial you can use the loan to start a business. You could even club together with friends to start a business. People should have to good business plan to be eligible to get this loan and there should an organisation (banks?) mentoring & checking their progress.

It is still a loan, you have to pay it back. You just have more options to choose how you can use it.
