Petition Ban restaurants from adding salt into dishes from the children’s menu

I’m a mother of two children and I’m told never to add extra salt into my children’s food when I cook for them at home. I find, however, that whenever we go out for a meal, food from the children’s menu often comes with added salt in.

More details

My daughter was treated to fries the other day and the fries came covered in salt. When we asked the restaurant why they’ve done this they responded with ‘it’s the way the chef likes to do the fries.’

Today we went out and the sauce on my child's pasta dish was really salty. When we complained about it we was told it’s just how it comes.

These are examples just from the last couple of weeks but we find it happens a lot. Children shouldn’t have added salt.
