This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

Local councils are responsible for deciding who gets priority for housing. They are already required by law to give "reasonable preference" to people who need to move on medical or welfare grounds (including any grounds relating to a disability).

You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition calling for the Government to provide funding to local councils to build more suitably adapted properties if that is something you would like to see happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
