Seeing that a low paid worker pays approx 27% of his gross salary in direct taxation (income tax % NI), isn't it time that the top earners are afforded the same 'privilege'? Is it not now the time to put EVERYONE on PAYE. I propose that the government should stop thinking only of themselves and their cronies and think in the light that everyone pays the same percentage of direct tax, in other words, FAIRNESS IN TAXATION!
