Rejected petition Suspend 2019 parliamentary summer recess.

With the U.K. due to leave the EU on 31st October there is a max of 8 working weeks (incl Party Conferences) between now and the leave date to produce detailed implementable plans incl. an agreement on the Irish trading relationship unless the parliamentary summer recess is suspended.

More details

MPs and government ministers enjoy extended holidays throughout the year however in a national crisis, and Brexit is a crisis, consideration must be given to suspending leave, party conferences and all non essential absences from Parliament. As the EU 27 & the U.K. have agreed a Withdrawal Agreement not yet ratified by the U.K. parliament robust plans & viable options must be agreed & set out so as not to waste time of civil servants & the EU negotiators as well as the U.K. public.
