Lets encourage the government to male maternity pay full pay for 1 year regardless of what company you work for. The 1st year in a child’s life is the most important and limiting our time with our children due to funds is an unwanted stress, we should be encouraged to start families not put us off and choose between work or time with our children for the first year. Offering SMP for the first year is just not enough, every pregnancy and birth is different many have complications which affect our ML.
