Rejected petition Provide tax exemptions for companies that make and use edible plastic.
Biodegradable plastic breaks down into microplastics which enter our food chain. Sources of plastic such as mushrooms, banana skin, milk and yeast can be consumed by bacteria and other organisms.
I would like sales of such plastic exempt from tax and products using it to incur reduced tax rates.
