Rejected petition Parent accountability for their childs involvement in Youth Crimes.

The Law states that children up to the age of 18yrs are legally accountable to their parents. However, children can be convicted of Youth crimes from the ages of 10yrs - 18yrs without their parents being held accountable and convicted for such crimes their children commits.

Therefore, parents alleviate of responsibilities within community and accountability to our society according to the UK Laws of a childs legal age for consent. Moreover, a parent should positively raise their children as good Law abiding citizens.

The increase of youth crimes and gang affiliations for those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds has significantly impacted the lives of children and families particularly from the black and Asian ethinic minority communities.
