To highlight the issue of young soldiers being given only a few weeks training before deploying on operations in Afghanistan and other theatres. Government Ministers claim it is needed under the auspices of UOR ( Urgent Operational Requirements ) but UOR only relates to equipment and is paid for from a seperate budget from the Treasury.
