I believe in this time of financial turmoil and proposed big society we should be brave enough to hold a referendum on allowing Churches to contribute by way of taxation. Too many get away with tax evasion in the name of religion. Not only raising increased tax revenue gaining benefits by implementing fair tax breaks on donations and specific projects for the good of the public.
