Rejected petition Demand a general election in the wake of the conservative leadership election.
The new Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, does not have a mandate to govern from the people. The conservative majority is weak and dependent on the DUP. Johnson’s manifesto on Brexit does not reflect the will of the people which has changed towards Brexit since negotiations have stalled.
