Rejected petition Prosecute people who walk dogs in extreme heat or leave them in unattended cars.

Advice from vets is clear, dogs suffer in extreme heat, sustaining heat stroke and burnt paws from hot pavements.
People are ignoring these warnings and subjecting dogs to unnecessary suffering.
When the met office issue heat/weather warnings people who walk or leave dogs in cars should be fined.

Ultimately dogs are dying unnecessarily.
Police are being called to distressed dogs in cars and the public are unsure what to do (such as breaking the windows).
If there was a law in place with clear guidelines the police and public would know what to do.
