Petition Double road fuel duty
Our roads are over congested, too many cars carry only one person, too many people drive cars that are un-necessarily large and drive too fast.
All the above adds to carbon emissions and damages the roads.

2019 wage £40,000. Petrol £1.30/litre (£5.80 /gallon)
2019 inflation adjusted £15/ gallon
People live too far fom their work and spend too much time commuting.
The air polution is killing people and inflicting extra costs on the NHS. The revenue raised is needed for alternative energy and social care. The revenue could also offset VAT or other tax.
