Closed Make altering property borders without consent a specific criminal offence

Call on the Government to make it a criminal offence for neighbours to alter property borders. This can happen when neighbours move borders by putting up fences or walls on private land.

Currently there is a criminal offence of aggravated trespass used where people trespass to intimidate, obstruct or disrupt a legal activity. The Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994 created some circumstances in which trespass to land can also be a crime. https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/trespass-and-nuisance-land.

I propose the Government pass a law to make this a specific criminal offence to protect all, as this issue affects many people & results in costly civil disputes, often the offenders are well off.
